Stamford Bridge club sets staggering valuation for Senegalese striker amid Premier League interest

Chelsea FC have stunned the football world by valuing striker Nicolas Jackson between £80m-£100m, with Manchester United reportedly among several clubs monitoring the situation. The 24-year-old Senegalese international, who joined Chelsea for £35m from Villarreal in 2023, still has eight years remaining on his contract, putting the Blues in a commanding negotiating position.

Jackson's valuation comes amid a summer where comparable forwards like Liverpool's new signing Hugo Ekitike moved for £79m. Club insiders argue Jackson's Premier League experience - 10 goals and 5 assists last season plus 14 goals the previous campaign - justifies the premium price tag. "When you see what players of similar age and potential are going for, this is simply market value," a Chelsea source told Sky Sports.

The situation has divided football pundits, with some calling the valuation excessive while others note Chelsea's strong bargaining position. With interest from Saudi Arabia and other European clubs, the West London side appears ready to play hardball. Should Jackson depart, Chelsea already have replacements in mind including RB Leipzig's Xavi Simons and Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers.
